“Palm Tree’ Meeting Table

This table was commissioned by a charity in Edinburgh for their glass atrium meeting area. The table is made up of two of our Haining tables and we designed them so they can be used individually, joined together or with the centre section in place around the central palm tree. They are made from oak from the Scottish Borders finished with our Warm polyx-oil and painted in Farrow & Ball Wevet. The tables are each 240cm long and 90cm wide so with the centre section in place the table is 530cm long. We mounted them on locking castors so they can be moved around easily. Linglie Oak Coffee Table

This piece is based on our Linglie coffee table with shelf but the customer wanted a solid oak version. It measures L100cm x W62cm x H50cm and was made entirely using oak from the Scottish Borders. We source all of our hardwoods from a local tree surgeon so they have not been grown commercially. This means the wood usually has interesting figuring and character. This particular example has a lot of ‘cats paws’ which make a lovely table top.

Oval Dining Table

This table was commissioned by a couple who had just moved into a new ground floor flat in Edinburgh with a nice big bay window. They had seen round tables online with a frame design that they liked but not in the oval shape they wanted for their room. We agreed on the overall size for the elliptical top and designed the frame dimensions to support it. The whole table is made from Scottish Borders spruce finished in our Rustic shade using Osmo polyx-oil. It measures just over 170cm long by 100cm wide and seats 8 people. We think their choice of round placemats is inspired along with the stick back chairs they sourced. Esdale Box Bench Seat

This piece was commissioned by an existing customer who wanted has a Dunrig dining table and bench. They had made an area under a window in their dining kitchen where they wanted some seating with storage. We discussed materials and designs and settled on the one you can see in the pictures opposite. The internal structure is made from pine and the back and front shaker panels are made from FSC certified medite MDF. The curved end panels and seat are made from locally sourced spruce with the seat and top trim finished to match the Dunrig table and bench.

Mossilee Oak Table

A dining table based on our Mossilee style which has tapered legs. This one has a 50cm removable extension and is all made from Scottish Borders oak. Loads of character in the wood make it a really nice piece. It paired up really well with our Cross Back chairs. It measures L120cm x W84cm x H77cm (L170cm with extension).

Newby Spalted Beech Console

This piece was requested by a customer who wanted the standard Linglie style of legs angled outwards in one direction. It’s made from Scottish Borders spalted beech with a painted frame and 3 drawers with spalted beech fronts and chromed steel handles. The handles matched ones on the back of the customers dining chairs (they also have a spalted beech dining table we made).
