Sycamore (Maple) Dining Table

The table top is approx. 35mm thick and we can sometimes even tell you where the tree it came from grew. Standard width is 90cm but if you would like it wider, narrower or square please email or call us on 01750 725870 to discuss. We can also make these tables from Ash or Beech and Elm is also available in limited sizes so again get in touch if this is something you are interested in.

Our tables are hand built in our workshop in Selkirk by passionate and experienced makers. We only build a few tables each week and spend many hours on each one ensuring real attention to detail and the finest quality. The bases are hand painted in several coats of Farrow & Ball Modern Eggshell to give a smooth period colour finish that is easily cleaned and hardwearing. The table top is finished in several coats of hard wax oil to create a very durable finish. View the colour options before ordering. We can also make the frame and legs out of the same wood as the top but you’ll need to call or email us for pricing

Grooves – our hardwood tops don’t come with grooves (like the option we have on our spruce table tops). The tops are seamless and a lot of time goes into jointing the sections to give the most balanced look.

Finish – we don’t apply any coloured finishes to our hardwood tops (our Natural, Contemporary and Rustic finish options don’t apply). They are coated with Osmo Polyx-oil semi-matt to protect the wood and to give a hardwearing surface. We can use a natural tone of Osmo on lighter coloured wood to resist the darkening that naturally occurs over time with sunlight.

Lead Time – lead time for a Sycamore table is 8-10 weeks.

Drawer Upgrade – We can fit a drawer to the end of your table (or both ends) or side of your table. Drawers can be added to your order by choosing the relevant option in the ‘Drawer’ product in our shop or at the basket step.

Delivery:

We complete most deliveries ourselves using our own van and 2 person team. We will carry items into your home and set them up in the desired room. Delivery fees can be seen at the checkout.

Tables with turned legs are detachable for easy manoeuvring. Tables with straight or tapered legs are permanent* therefore when choosing your style please make sure your table will be able to fit through doorways and around corners into your room of choice.

*We can build a straight or tapered leg frame that can be disassembled so get in touch if you want to explore this option.
